My Experience with Workouts & Menstruating on the Full Moon

I started my period on the Full Moon.⁣

What I’ve learned is, since ancient times this has also been called a “Red Moon” bleed (vs. a White Moon bleed where your period would happen around the New Moon). ⁣

It’s so interesting how I’ve seen my body shift around the various phases of the moon cycle at different times. There’s no ONE way that’s more “healthy” or correct. ⁣

In ancient times, it was said that Red Moon women were often healers and priestesses focusing their creative menstrual energies outward vs. inward, to teach and mentor others. ⁣

It’s so interesting how my energy has been different this phase too.  I’ve definitely felt a down shift in my energy, but even the morning of day 1, I felt I needed to move my body on an easy bike ride and then kayaked too. ⁣

This really surprised me and I didn’t want to overdo it, but I went with it knowing that the full moon was influencing me, and my inner wise woman reminded me that each cycle is different. ⁣

Let it be different. ⁣
Go with the flow. ⁣
