Mindful Performance and How to Unlock Your Potential with Jordie Karlinski

Imagine working towards a goal for years, but then missing the mark in the brief moments of competition.  Is a setback really a set-up for a comeback?

Aspen native Jordie Karlinski started snowboarding at age 7 and hasn’t stopped since. Jordie reached the professional level during high school where she made the podium at a hand full of international events throughout her career.

She was named to the US Snowboard team twice, first for Boardercross from 2005-2006 and for Slopestyle from 2011-2014 where she went onto to be a top ranked international competitor and compete in the 2014 US Olympic qualifiers. Jordie has competed in the XGames, Dew Tours, Grand Prix’s, Burton Opens, World Cups and more.

Experiencing first hand how hard the transition was from being a professional athlete to finding a new career and purposeful life post competition, Jordie became a certified leadership coach and has her own mindful performance coaching business.

Jordie works with athletes, individuals, and organizations who are looking to unlock their potential, fulfill their deepest dreams and desires, and live a life that is worth leaping out of bed for. Her coaching approach is intentional and courageous so clients can access deep transformation, discover their inner power, and feel empowered to journey down a path that lights them up.

Jordie knows that life is not easy and is filled with an incredible amount of hurdles, so that is why her coaching approach is also rooted in mindfulness. She offers reliable and useful mindful practices that will not only support clients in hard times, but also help them cultivate awareness that will help them discover their passions and purpose.

Since retiring from competition in 2014, Jordie has developed a passion for snowboarding in the backcountry. She now manages Leave The Boys Behind, a women’s specific backcountry guiding service. She is passionate about getting women out into the backcountry and providing programs that are educational, supportive, fun, and helps develop backcountry awareness and leadership skills.

In August 2018 Jordie and her sister Alex (a chef and currently in nutrition school) are going to host an adventure wellness retreat in Snowmass Village, Colorado which will have hiking, healthy cooking and mindful performance workshops, and yoga. The breathtaking mountains as the home base provide individuals the space to transform their mind, body, and spirit.
